BRIDGE BUSINESS ERP – Privacy Policy
The short version
- BRIDGE BUSINESS ERP is billing, stock and accounts software for a business. Your books belong to your business. We, the developer, run no server for the app and receive none of your data.
- There is no account with us, no analytics and no advertising.
- Your books are kept on your phone. They go somewhere else only when you choose it: your own shop computer (sync), your own Google account (Android backup), or a file you share.
- The microphone, camera and Bluetooth are used only when you start the matching tool.
1. Who publishes BRIDGE BUSINESS ERP
BRIDGE BUSINESS ERP is published by the developer shown on Google Play as BRIDGE PHOTO, an individual developer with a personal Google Play developer account.
Questions about this policy: bridgephoto.vwn@gmail.com.
2. What the app keeps, and where
The app keeps the records you enter for your business: your business details, parties (customers and suppliers, with any name, phone, address and tax number you type), items, bills, payments, expenses, stock, staff attendance and settings. They are stored in the app's private storage on your phone. Other apps cannot read them.
The developer does not receive these records. The app sends nothing to the developer and contains no analytics or advertising code. We learn nothing about you from your use of the app; we see only what Google Play shows every developer (aggregate install statistics, public reviews you choose to write, and crash reports from people who allow Android to send them).
Your business decides who can see its books. If you add staff, they see what the role you give them allows.
3. When data leaves your phone
- Sync with your shop computer. If you switch on Sync and enter the address of your own shop computer (running BRIDGE BUSINESS ERP's shop server), the app sends your business's records to that computer over your network and receives changes from it. The computer belongs to your business; the developer has no access to it.
- Android backup. Android can back up the app's books and settings to your own Google account, and copy them when you move to a new phone. This is controlled in your phone's backup settings and handled by Google under its own policy.
- Backups and files you share. When you make a backup, a PDF, an Excel file or a picture and choose where it goes (email, WhatsApp, Drive, a folder), it goes there and nowhere else.
- WhatsApp and messages. Buttons such as "Send on WhatsApp" open WhatsApp or another app with the message ready; you press send. The app does not send messages by itself.
- Exchange rates. If "Live exchange rates" is on, the app asks a public exchange-rate service (open.er-api.com) for the day's rates. The request contains currency codes only, nothing about you or your business.
- Tax office (Nepal only). If a Nepal business switches on "Send bills to IRD (CBMS)", the app sends each sale bill's tax details to Nepal's Inland Revenue Department, as Nepal's law asks. It is off unless you switch it on.
4. Permissions
- Microphone – only when you tap the microphone to speak a command or a bill. Speech is turned into text by your phone's speech-recognition service (on most phones Google's), under that service's policy. The app keeps the text, not the recording.
- Camera – only while you scan a barcode or photograph a supplier's bill. Barcodes and text are read on your phone (Google ML Kit); the picture stays on your phone.
- Bluetooth – only to find and print to a Bluetooth receipt printer you choose.
- Fingerprint / face – only if you switch on the app lock. Android checks it; the app never sees your fingerprint or face.
- Internet and network state – for the sync, exchange rates and Nepal IRD features above.
Picking a contact or a file goes through Android's own pickers and needs no permission. The app does not use your location and has no access to your contacts list.
5. Google components
Barcode and text reading use Google ML Kit, which runs on your phone. Google Play services may collect limited diagnostic information and device identifiers about the ML Kit components to keep them working, as described in Google's ML Kit documentation. This is not shared with the developer.
6. How long data is kept, and deleting it
Your records stay until you delete them in the app or uninstall it. Deleted documents first go to the app's Recycle bin, so mistakes can be undone. Uninstalling the app deletes everything it keeps on the phone (copies you exported, your shop computer's copy and your Android backup stay where they are, and you can delete them there).
Because the developer holds none of your data, there is nothing for us to delete; to remove data, delete it in the app, on your shop computer and in your Google account's backups.
7. Security
Records are stored in the app's private storage. You can add an app PIN or fingerprint lock and a separate PIN for changing or deleting saved documents. Sync with your shop computer runs only between devices your business sets up.
8. Children
BRIDGE BUSINESS ERP is a business tool for adults. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from children.
9. Changes to this policy
If the app's handling of data changes, this page will be updated and its effective date changed before the new version is released.
